A Brief Description of Giclee' Printing in more Technical Terms

Images our reproduced from high resolution digital scans or files and printed with
archival pigmented inks onto various substrates including Canvas, Watercolor
Paper and Photo-Based Paper.  A Giclee'  refers to both a category of collectible
fine art prints as well as a type of digitally created reproduction of a photograph.
At Island Arts, we work with both the artist and the consumer
offering a high quality reproduction of your image.
Giclee' : From the French word "le gicleur" meaning nozzle or
more specifically "gicler" meaning to squirt, spurt or spray.
It is such a great word,  It  describes a Fine Art Reproduction to many people
but to many others it really just makes them giggle and nobody knows how to pronounce it.
It is pronounced Gee-Clay with an emphasis on both the "Gee" and the "Clay"
